Oranjestad (Aruba's capital) Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA): Approximate driving time is 15 minutes and distance is 8 miles (13 km.) Driving directions from Queen Beatrix International Airport: Exit the airport and turn left onto the main road that runs along the coastline. Follow signs to Oranjestad and continue west past the city and turn left into the low-rise hotel area. Hotel is on the right. Getting there: There is no shuttle service from this airport so taxis are the best way to arrive. Fares are in the $16–$25 USD range. Rental cars are available online for more than $36 USD. Arubus public buses run from across the road from the airport to the main terminal in the Oranjestad dock area where a transfer onto Bus #10 or #10A takes passengers to the hotel area. Fare is less than $5 USD. Fees are subject to change without notice. Getting around: The hotel runs complimentary shuttles to the Royal Cabana Casino. Guests can walk to some neighboring restaurants, but apart from hotel facilities, this district offers little choice in the way of shopping so visitors head to the downtown stores. Public buses run from next door at the Amsterdam Manor Resort into downtown for fares of less than $5 USD; taxis are $5–$15 USD. Bicycles can be rented for $16–$25 USD a day and mopeds for more than $36 USD a day. Fees subject to change without notice. Because main roads are well-maintained and well-posted, driving (right-hand side) is a popular option.

The Captain's Table - This restaurant features a rotating menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The specialty is Italian, Mexican, and other international cuisines. E Piscado - Dinner is served on the patio at the resort’s Caribbean-themed restaurant, which focuses on just-caught seafood. O-Sushi-Mi - Guests nibble on maki specials, fresh sushi, and sashimi at O-Sushi-Mi, located by the lobby. The Islander Grill - Munch on a crabmeat sandwich at lunchtime or a chicken-and-pineapple dinner entree at this eatery that serves breakfast as well. Arawak Pizza - Snacks, pizza, hot dogs, and nachos are on the menu. Las Ramblas - Named after the famous boulevard in Barcelona, this restaurant serves tapas and grilled seafood. The Hangout - This restaurant, bar, and disco is adjacent to the Royal Cabana Casino. Burgers, fajitas, steaks, and salads top the menu. This huge, family-friendly resort features three pools with waterslides, kids' programs, seven restaurants, a fitness center and spa, and tennis and squash courts. The resort is surrounded by five walking and jogging trails and faces Eagle Beach, where guests can enjoy a full array of water sports. The nearby Tierra Del Sol Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., is open to guests staying at any resort on the island. Horseback-riding, deep-sea fishing, sunset sails, and scuba diving can also be arranged. Activities are available either on site or nearby; some require an additional fee.
